The Band

Sudden Revolt is a 5-piece rock outfit from the sunny little island some people call Singapore (which is by the way, NOT located in China).

The explosive quintet was established in early 2008 when good friends James, Rifat and O Wen wanted to start churning out some tunes and playing gigs. Since then, the triplet has added two more members, notably Zheng Jia, who joined the line-up to give us some bass grooves. The quartet stayed this way for a couple of months, before another friend, Bryan, an extremely talented and capable pianist joined the quartet and completed the entire full band line-up. 

Since then, the band has grown tighter and are constantly on honing their skills and writing new songs, striving to bring you, our audience, a fresh, inspiring and refreshing new brand of music that will rock the house down and touch your heart.

Sudden Revolt draws its musical inspiration and influence from a wide range of genres and artists ranging from Blues to Pop to Gospel to Hard Rock. From artists like John Mayer, to Melee to Planetshakers and the like to Paramore and more punk-ish stuff like All Time Low.  

At this point of time, the band does mostly covers for gigs but they are working on several originals due to be released in the next year or so (maybe a few months? Who knows? )

Sudden Revolt is not only made up of the band members. but the backstage guys who make all the things possible would be our background and sound crew, consisting of all the band members plus two others, Stefan and Jun Wei, nothing goes wrong during live shows or jam sessions!
